학습자의 지식 구성을 지원하는 AI 학습대화 챗봇 개발 연구

This study developed an artificial intelligence chatbot prototype to support learners’ knowledge construction through learning dialogue and presented its design principles and implementation process. Based on a review of previous studies, the research process included deriving design principles, developing an initial prototype, conducting an expert-based usability evaluation, and revising the prototype to produce the final version. The chatbot was designed to structure learning dialogue into three stages: knowledge checking, knowledge exploration, and knowledge construction, and to provide stage-specific question strategies and utterance types. The design principles derived in this study were structuring interaction around knowledge construction, promoting question-centered interaction, adapting to learners’ utterances, diversifying questions and preventing repetition, and supporting participation in a positive dialogic atmosphere. The expert-based usability evaluation yielded positive ratings for the validity of the learning dialogue structure and stages, ease of use and applicability, and the quality and appropriateness of the questions. However, support for learners who have difficulty responding was identified as an area for improvement. This study suggests the potential for designing generative AI not as a knowledge-delivery tool but as a dialogic learning tool that supports learners in examining their thinking, exploring perspectives, and constructing knowledge.
