韓日多文化家庭のFLP - 母親から子どもへの使用言語による相違点を中心に -
초록
The purpose of this paper is to understand the current state of the language environment in Korean-Japanese multicultural families. As one means of doing so, I used ‘language beliefs’ and ‘language practices,’ which are the elements that make up FLP’s language policy, based on the language used by mothers with their children, as a framework for analysis. I categorized the data using the keywords ‘beliefs and values’ for language beliefs and ‘linguistic environment’ and ‘cultural environment’ for language practices, and organized and analyzed their characteristics and trends. The data used in this paper (360 valid responses) showed that 173 (48.05%) of the mothers used Japanese as the language of their children, 156 (43.3%) used both Korean and Japanese, 19 (5.2%) used Korean, and 12 (3.3%) used other languages. The results showed that the language used was not generally consistent. As a result, we were able to catch a glimpse of the ingenuity and effort involved in each pattern, which cannot be grasped in terms of the language used alone. However, the study confirmed that awareness of inherited Japanese is the highest when the language used is Japanese, and that various environmental arrangements are made to create a language environment. In addition to this, we examined the background factors of language use at home, and found that the higher the Korean language ability of the survey participants and their level of interest in Korea before and after marriage, the higher the Korean use rate tended to use , while the higher the Japanese language ability of the husband, the higher the Japanese use rate.
