This study aimed to identify implications of examining the settlement of automobile designs in Korea by observing the automobiles developed and sold in Korea in the first half of the 1990s. Nine selected vehicles were observed, starting with the Excel in 1989 to the Credos in 1995, with their rebuilt package layouts of the body and interior image views as well. Body proportions with total lengths, widths, and heights for the cabin volumes were analyzed. The results demonstrate that cars tended to have more space roominess with longer wheelbase for more rear passenger space, which began with the Y2 Sonata, the first that was presented, which was the 2,700 mm wheelbase dimension in 1992. Consequently, the space roominess was treated as the most important factor in Korean markets regardless of the segments of vehicles, as the cabin space preferences became one of the most crucial factors in the Korean auto-market as a result of the fast-growing economy of the country, popularizing family sedans.
