System Quality, Interface Quality, Perceived Virtual Presence, and Perceived Social Presence as Predictors of Satisfaction and Intention to Replay in VR Games
초록
The fastest growing sector in the VR entertainment industry is the VR game business. This study is designed to investigate effects of system quality, interface quality, perceived virtual presence, and perceived social presence on players’ satisfaction with VR games and intention to replay VR games. The study findings suggest that system quality, interface quality, perceived virtual presence, and perceived social presence have a positive impact on players’ satisfaction with VR games. In addition, system quality, interface quality, and virtual presence have a positive impact on players’ intention to replay VR games. These results show the importance in VR games of system quality (i.e., VR HMDs, motion controllers, etc.) and the interface quality. Furthermore, the study also shed some light on the importance of players’ perceived virtual presence and perceived social presence in designing VR games. Future research and limitations of the study are also discussed.
