초록

This study analyzes the route choice behavior of urban rail passengers using a stated-preference survey and estimates travel characteristics through a binary logit model. The survey focuses on in-vehicle time, walking time, waiting time, transfer time, and travel fare, and examines the sensitivity of passengers to each time component. The analysis is conducted for the total sample and by trip purpose. The results indicate that passengers are more sensitive to in-vehicle time compared to walking and waiting times, and that longer transfer times significantly decrease route choice probability. Using estimated coefficients, both the value of travel time (VOT) and travel time indexes (TTI) are derived, revealing that transfer time has the highest relative disutility (TTI>1.5). Furthermore, work trips show higher VOT and transfer sensitivity than do non-work trips. These findings provide quantitative evidence for prioritizing transfer facility improvements, optimizing headways, and introducing express services. © 2025 Hie Korean Society for Railway.
