초록
In this 21st century, the ability to use information and knowledge effectively rests on a set of abilities that extend beyond the traditional base of reading, writing, math and science. Teachers and students must now incorporate the technology literacy, information literacy, media creativity, and social competence and responsibility to enhance knowledge and critical thinking skills. Literacy learning involves three dimensions of learning and practice: the operational, the critical, amd the cultural. A comprehensive school program in literacy and IT needs to include appropriate engagements with all three dimensions. ICT literacy is using digital technology, communications tools, and/or networks to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information in order to function in a knowledge society. ICT literacy consists of the five components: access, manage, integrate, evaluate, create. The five components represent a set of skills and knowledge presented in a sequence that suggests increasing cognitive complexity. In the Korean language learning area, students learn about the Korean language, how it works and how to use it effectively. They develop an understanding of the ways in which language operates as a social process and how to use language in a variety of forms and situations. They learn to speak, listen, view, read and write effectively. The outcome of learning writing has four aspects that relate to the understandings and skills that apply to language in general and offer a different way of looking at student achievement in each of the modal outcomes. These aspects are use of texts, contextual understanding(understanding Language, and attitudes, values and beliefs), conventions, and processes and strategies.
