Atorvastatin calcium-Loaded Polymeric Nanoparticles by Solvent-Evaporation Process and Their Application as a Drug Delivery System

초록

Atorvastatin calcium-loaded polymeic nanoparticles were prepared and characterized as a delivery system for hydrophobic drugs. For this purpose, pluronic (poly (ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide) triblock copolymer, F-68)-based polymeric nanoparticles were prepared by solvent evaporation process. FE-SEM (Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscopy) was used to observe the morphology of polymeric nanoparticles and electrophoretic light scattering was used to observe the particle size. For the application as an efficient delivery system for atorvastatin calcium, the stability of nanoparticles and release profile was observed in the phosphate buffered solution (pH 7.4).
