공간 컴퓨팅 환경에서 공간적 맥락에 따른 사용자 경험 분석 - 공간적 행동 유도성을 중심으로

초록
(Background and Purpose) Spatial computing has emerged as a new computing paradigm that integrates digital information with physical space, extending user experience beyond conventional screen-based interaction to spatially situated experiences. While previous studies have primarily focused on technological implementation and interaction performance, relatively little attention has been paid to the comprehensive examination of user behavior and spatial experience across diverse spatial contexts in real-world environments. Therefore, this study aims to identify the characteristics of user experience across different spatial contexts through an analysis of real-world spatial computing use cases. From the perspective of spatial affordance, this study examines the relationship between user behavior and spatial experience and derives design implications for spatial computing-based interfaces. (Method) This study employed digital ethnography and qualitative content analysis(QCA) to investigate real-world use cases in spatial computing environments. User-generated content(UGC) produced within actual spatial computing environments was collected and screened in accordance with the research objectives. The selected cases were then analyzed to examine user behavior and spatial experience across different spatial contexts. User behavior was comparatively analyzed from the perspective of spatial affordance to identify key user experience characteristics. The validity of the findings was further assessed through expert interviews, which examined the appropriateness of the identified user experience characteristics and the validity of the analytical results. (Results) The findings indicate that user experience in spatial computing environments varies depending on spatial context and interaction patterns. A comprehensive analysis of user behavior and spatial experience identified three core user experience characteristics associated with different spatial contexts. These characteristics were found to interact in actual use, generating an extended user experience and offering design implications for spatial computing-based interfaces. Furthermore, spatial context was identified as a key factor influencing user behavior and interface use, while user experience was found to emerge from the integration of spatial context with embodied and social interactions. (Conclusions) This study systematically examines user experience in spatial computing environments based on actual user behavior and interprets the relationship between spatial context and user experience through the lens of spatial affordance. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of user experience in real-world spatial computing environments and provide practical implications for future interface design. Furthermore, by interpreting user experience across different spatial contexts from a spatial computing interface design perspective and deriving corresponding design implications, this study establishes a foundation for future research on spatial computing-based interfaces and service design. It also offers academic and practical guidance for the design of spatial computing interfaces grounded in actual user behavior.
