17세기 초반 소통으로서의 尺牘 연구 - 申欽․申翊聖 부자를 중심으로-

This paper tried to investigate epistolary literature as communication in the early 17th century of ChoSun(朝鮮). Epistolary literature named Chuck-Dock(尺牘) was a new kind of letter in those days, Epistolary literature referred to as relatively short, emotional and private letters had been begun to separate from general letters since the 17th century. Shin-Hum(申欽), Shin-IkSeong(申翊聖) who were representative writer of in the early 17th century didn’t have a exact perception on concept of Chuck-Dock as compared Hoe-Gyun(許筠) who was same age writer. But surveying their collections of works, we confirm that Chuck-Dock were separated from general letters. They intensively created Chuck-Dock in their underprivileged period, and used Chuck-Dock as private communication style. Shin-Hum interchanged secret informations as Chuck-Dock with close friends in political risk days, and pursuit aesthetic expression. Shin-IkSeong suggested concrete informations in Chuck-Dock, and build up importance of sender in letter. These features were the keynotes of epistolary literature, and condition in primary stage.
