초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the experience of environmental color experts who participated in the quantitative research survey on the preference for natural scenery and under what context the evaluation was conducted. To this end, one environmental color expert was selected as a single case among 20 experts from the researcher's quantitative research questionnaire, and a qualitative case study method was approached through formal and informal in-depth interviews. This study has two significances. First, it was clearly confirmed in the quantitative research in the early stage of the researcher and in the qualitative research that followed that the problem of excluding colors in Kaplan's environmental preference study was clearly confirmed. Second, in Kaplan's environmental preference study, human 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional perception characteristics can affect preference evaluation. These two significances suggest specific directions for future quantitative and qualitative research. It is expected that future studies will provide a more in-depth understanding of the relationship between preferences and colors in the natural environment.
