Fog water collection is crucial in areas where conventional water supplies, such as surface water and groundwater, are limited. Utilizing the remarkable fog gathering capabilities of Stenocara beetles in the Namib Desert and incorporating recent progress in biomimetic water collection, we have devised a highly efficient, userfriendly, and economically viable approach to fabricate an A-ZIF-8-HB-SLIPS fog harvesting system. This device utilizes hydrophobic-slippery coatings and a pillar-like architecture to maximize the efficiency of fog water collecting. Our fog collector greatly enhances the efficiency of collecting water from fog compared to surfaces that only have one kind of wetness. This is achieved by using a three-dimensional surface structure to effectively catch and guide water droplets. The A-ZIF-8- HB-SLIPS surface has the greatest rate of water collection, about 1502 mg cm- 2h- 1 . The production method is simple, cost-effective, and eco-friendly, providing a dependable option for tackling water shortages in dry areas and reusing fog waste in industrial environments. The infusion of ZIF-8 significantly improves the efficiency of fog harvesting. In addition, our extensive research explores the combined impacts of these systems, enhancing our knowledge and maximizing the effectiveness of fog harvesting.
