공연장의 건축부문 리모델링 요소에 대한 고찰

초록

With Korea's economic growth, there has been an increasing desire for cultural life and a heightened interest in performances. In response to these changes, the government implemented a policy to establish one cultural center per municipality, resulting in the construction of 267 centers. Over 70% of these centers opened before 2000. Many of these centers are now facing issues due to aging, as their facilities were designed to meet the performance needs of their time, necessitating improvements and upgrades to accommodate current performance environments. The Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association conducts annual consulting support projects for aging cultural centers facing operational difficulties. This study aims to conduct a theoretical review and analyze previous research on cultural centers, clearly defining the analysis target. It seeks to analyze remodeling trends highlighted in consulting reports since 2011, categorizing and analyzing various architectural issues found in deteriorating performance halls. Problems were identified not only in specific parts but across all interconnected spaces, such as stages, seating areas, public services, and external areas. These issues are closely related to the necessary elements of the performance environment, reflecting their interdependence. The purpose of this research is to provide data necessary for future remodeling and construction of performance hall facilities by identifying the frequency and incidence of problems in each area through statistical analysis, thus offering fundamental information for architectural planning directions.
